What is Learna?
Learna is an enterprise workplace micro-learning application created by organisational coach and founder Lisa Lie. Designed to democratise soft-skills training and professional growth, Learna delivers bite-sized, actionable learning modules directly to employees within corporate partner organisations.
After completing an initial startup accelerator program, Lisa engaged Techne HQ in August 2022 to transform early concept wireframes into commercial, enterprise-ready software. Converting early designs into a B2B SaaS platform required solving critical architecture challenges: corporate clients needed secure Single Sign-On (SSO) authentication, dynamic content publishing without developer intervention, and enterprise-grade data security. Techne HQ executed a four-week re-architecture sprint, completed the necessary UX/UI workflows, authored comprehensive PRDs, and engineered the native mobile and AWS cloud ecosystem. Techne HQ has continued as Learna's dedicated technical partner, delivering monthly enhancements as the platform scales.

To establish Learna as an enterprise-ready platform, Techne HQ and Lisa Lie focused on three core technical challenges:
Completing UX/UI & Defining System Architecture: Expanding early accelerator wireframes by designing the missing user screens and workflows across native iOS and Android applications and the Master Admin Portal.
Engineering a Dynamic CMS: Building a flexible content management system that allows Learna's administrators to publish, modify, and assign learning modules, content creators, and corporate groups without ongoing developer intervention.
Implementing Enterprise Security & SSO: Architecting secure authentication, role-based access controls, and Single Sign-On integrations to meet corporate IT security requirements.

01 · 4-Week Re-Architecture, PRDs & UX/UI Design
Techne HQ conducted a comprehensive system audit and completed the missing UX/UI designs across Learna's mobile apps and admin portal. We authored detailed PRDs covering content delivery, user permissions, and enterprise tenant isolation before development.
02 · Native Mobile Engineering (Swift & Kotlin)
We engineered Learna's iOS application using Swift and its Android application using Kotlin/Java, supporting responsive lesson delivery, smooth interactions, progress tracking, and offline learning capabilities.
03 · Dynamic CMS, Java Backend & AWS
We built a custom Master Admin Portal using Vue.js and HTML5, supported by a Java backend, AWS infrastructure, and MySQL on Amazon RDS. The portal allows administrators to publish content, manage learning modules, assign corporate groups, and access engagement analytics.
04 · Enterprise SSO & Ongoing Engineering
Techne HQ integrated enterprise Single Sign-On and role-based access controls. Since August 2022, we have continued supporting Learna through monthly engineering releases, technical improvements, and new feature development.
